Towards our
goal of building sustainable education for
this village

Phayong Primary School (Laos)
Open: December 2009
A remote mountain village, the Phayong primary school has brought educational access to over 90 students.
In Phayong, it’s love at first site. Between the villagers, the kids and the mountain views, it’s almost overwhelming.
The average yearly income in Phayong is $300. With next to nothing, they give everything. They welcome visitors into their homes. They share their food, their stories and their kindness.
The PoP primary school in Phayong is a large two-room structure that brings formal primary education to the villages nearly 100 children. As members of ethnic minorities living in the hard-to-reach mountains, these children are some of the highest-risk students in the country. Their continued education and the sustainment of their school is a PoP top priority and the reason we focus on on-going school support.
