Towards our
goal of building sustainable education for
this village

Pak Tor Primary School (Laos)
Open: January 2011
The project in Pak Tor brings an adequate space and learning environment to early primary students.
Kids were turned away at the door of the Pak Tor’s first and second grade classrooms. They race to school each day in hopes to get a spot inside the classroom, but the classrooms were literally so packed that students sit on the steps and grass outside.
When the student to teacher ratio is stretched this thin, the quality of education drops immediately. And when quality begins to drop, so does attendance.
With the deep commitment of Pak Tor’s villagers and educators, a new PoP structure has added three classrooms as well as the additionally needed government provided teachers, and the promise of education will continue.
