ALICE ANLEU
Written by: Team PoP December 15th, 2011
Alice Anléu extremely dynamic and always full of joy. Alice, age 25, was born in Panajachel, Guatemala, and is very familiar with the Guatemalan landscape. Alice’s personality and experience are very fitting for her position as the Country Coordinator: the “face” of PoP Guatemala. This position puts her in charge of scouting, forming relationships and unifying the community support necessary for each project. Alice’s favorite part about her job is spending time in the villages where PoP builds schools, surrounded by nature and children. Not only does Alice love site visits, but the communities are always excited to see her and are very responsive to her approach.
Alice is in her second year of college studying psychology at Mariano Galvez de Guatemala University in Sololá. She also works as a bartender on the weekends and enjoys socializing with friends. Traveling is one of Alice’s biggest passions. She hopes to travel more, giving her the opportunity to learn about other cultures and help people wherever she goes.
