About Pencils of Promise

Pencils of Promise is a passionate community of individuals collectively creating a nonprofit that empowers each person regardless of status or position to make a positive impact on the world. Together, we build sustainable schools, partnerships and solutions to enable basic education for underserved children in the developing world.

Our entire team is made of volunteers. We pay no salaries, and every person that works on this organization does so because they deeply believe in our mission. 100% of web donations go directly into ourĀ  schools.

Hello. In 2006 my mom visisted a brand new school for the deaf in Nairobi, Kenya. WE recently got news that the city, in order to make room for new pipes, bulldozed the entire school, kitchen, classrooms, everything. It was all the kids have and now they have nothing. DO you think there is anyway that you might be able to help? Please reply back. These kids are very close to my heart and are very deserving. Thank you.

Hi (Adam?), My name is Andrew Wolff and I am founder and director of Children’s Future International, a young organization with a focus on providing high quality educational opportunities to vulnerable and under-served children in Cambodia. Our main focus at the moment is on developing a Community Learning Center for Children in a village outside of Battambang.

I just came across Pencils of Promise through Razoo. I am very impressed and interested in your work and would like to speak with you in more detail about your model and about the schools that you are building. If you are interested I am willing of course to share some of our experiences, including building two schools. We are always looking for motivated and capable partners to share ideas and resources, and sometimes work towards higher level partnerships.

Please feel free to contact me any time via email or on my cell phone at 516.423.9429. Although I spend most of the year in Cambodia, I am back in NY now for about two months.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Warm Regards,
    Andrew
